Why Newborn Photography?

From the moment you find out you are expecting until the day your little one is placed in your arms you dream about what he or she will look like, who they will take after and what color eyes they will end up with. They instantly become your pride and joy. They are sleepy, cuddly and even have a smell that you will always remember. I want to freeze this moment in time for you so that when you look at these images 18 years later when you send them off to college, you can remember their first moments. The days are long but the years fly by.

What to expect?

Your newborn session will take place in my photography studio space in Palm Bay Fl. My studio is set up with professional quality lighting and equipment. I provide all the props, backdrops, headbands, hats and other accessories. You provide the sweet baby. Newborn session are scheduled within the first two weeks of life. The sessions are up to 3 hours long to accommodate soothing, posing and feedings. If you have other young children, the family and sibling poses will take place first during the session. It is recommended that either parents travel separately or another family member take the young children out to lunch, to a park or back home so that we can focus on a calm, quiet environment for the newborn only portion of the session. The session is styled around your preferred color choices. The studio is kept warm at 78-80 degrees to keep the baby comfortable at all times. Feedings may occur during the session, so bring extra bottles or plan to nurse your baby.

Why Trisha Harris Photography?

Newborn photography has been around for decades and over the years has turned into a styled art. Babies are posed into cute womb like poses to display their delicacy and flexibility. This style of photography requires knowledge beyond the camera and into the safety of your newborn. I have taken several hands on workshops to receive the proper training to handle your baby safely at all time. I will never risk getting a shot for the safety of your baby and I always follow their cues during the session. I invest in my craft by continuing my education in learning about newborn safety and posing, keeping up to date equipment and learning editing techniques to ensure your receive the highest quality of images to last for generations.

How to book a session?

Booking your newborn session is best within the first two weeks of life. They are still womb like and sleepy which is ideal for posing. To ensure you can schedule an appointment it is suggested to book your session during the 2nd or 3rd trimester. When you book during this time, your due date is placed on my calendar. Once the baby arrives, we then schedule your session within the two week time frame. Session fee is due the day of the session and a deposit is required to "hold" session date. Head over to the contact tab to schedule your newborn session.
